Hello fellow honey enthusiasts!
Summer is departing, and it's not quite grilling season anymore, for me it always is! While everyone is flipping burgers and sizzling sausages, why not try something a little different?
Enter our Honey Glazed Grilled Pork Chops. This recipe offers a harmonious balance between sweet and savory, with a hint of spice to keep things interesting.
There's something truly magical about the combination of honey and pork. The natural sweetness of the honey caramelizes beautifully on the grill, creating a luscious glaze that clings to every inch of the pork chop. And the addition of soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and fresh ginger? It takes the flavor profile to an entirely new dimension.
If you're wary about the spice level, don't be. The chili flakes give just the right kick without overpowering the sweet notes of the dish. And speaking of notes, those aromatic hints of garlic and ginger sing through, making every bite a delightful experience.
Pair these pork chops with a fresh salad, some grilled veggies, or even a cold noodle dish. The beauty of this recipe is that it can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.
I'm pretty sure this is going to be your new favorite grilling recipe. Whether you're hosting a BBQ party or just enjoying a quiet dinner with family, these Honey Glazed Grilled Pork Chops are sure to impress. Happy grilling!
Hope you enjoy cooking and relishing this recipe as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you!
Honey Glazed Grilled Pork Chops
Ingredients:
4 pork chops, about 3/4 inch thick
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp chili flakes (adjust according to your preference)
2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes. Whisk until well combined.
Reserve about 1/4 of the marinade for basting and later use. Pour the rest over the pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Ensure all sides of the pork chops are coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. **Overnight marination is ideal for deeper flavor.**
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the pork chops from the marinade, discarding the used marinade. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.
Lightly oil the grill grates using a cloth or paper towel dipped in oil. Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they have beautiful grill marks and are cooked through.
During the last couple of minutes of grilling, brush the reserved marinade over the pork chops.
Once cooked, transfer the pork chops to a serving plate. Let them rest for a few minutes.
Garnish with sliced green onions and optionally, toasted sesame seeds.
Serve with your favorite side dishes.
