About Me
I am a second-generation beekeeper that started after deciding to make mead. I had a chance to try mead at a friend's birthday party in late 2019 and wanted to learn about the process. My father had been the president of the local beekeeping club, state inspector, and keeping bees for years so I knew I had the best resources at my disposal.

I learned how to make mead and made a few batches before finally getting something I enjoyed. Later, I decided it would be fun to create a mead with my own honey. I caught a swarm before I finished reading my books or taking my classes, but I quickly learned how to manage my investment and grow my colonies.

My passions are in the creativity of making mead and wine, taking care of a superorganism like honeybees, and teaching others to do so as well.

I keep only a few colonies at a time currently myself but help others get started with mead, wine, and beekeeping. This blog is dedicated to sharing my knowledge with others and helping new beekeepers and mead makers get started.
